@SecondRateChess After watching my own video I feel the same way. Thanks for the commentary, and yes I do spend a lot of time studying openings. I think it's the most effective way to improve as it gives you a better understanding of why you should/shouldn't play certain moves, while also allowing you to play similar positions every game and gain experience, rather than just "winging it" and playing various different games that you may or may not be comfortable with.
@Tucktuck24 I'm admittedly not the foremost expert on opening theory. I find tactical games entertaining but I'm terminally positional myself. I'm partial to the Scandinavian as a John Bartholomew fan but I think there are more common, solid openings that stand to have greater educational value. Really, I think you should just go with what you're most comfortable with. As you learn more, it'd be cool to learn with you as the audience. I'm definitely down to play tonight and you can absolutely stream it. I'll add you and we can talk in pms.

@SecondRateChess That's very good advice. +1
@Asym Thanks! I think rather than sticking to what I’m comfortable with (admittedly a bunch of sidelines I play in order to get sharper games), I want to teach my audience what they want to learn. I will take you Scandinavian into consideration for an upcoming series. I don’t play the scandinavian as black, but I find it fun to play against as white. Let’s play a correspondence game in the Scandinavian.
