First try I failed for some seconds to get the concept, because I was sure, pieces that could be take were meant. So that was forgettable.
On my second try I got 30, even though there were at least one position, I would label as quite easy.

Edit: Made a third try and got 45. Maybe its possible to get up to 60?

It feels so wrong to consider rooks in the starting position to be loose.
