I have repeatedly experienced the same phenomenon over and over again. If I study in between games, I get paired with low rated players who seem unusually deep in trappy book lines. If I just play game after game my rating goes up and I get paired with much higher rated players who sometimes I actually beat. My question is, does one's performance in centipawn loss and long opening lines without error affect one's pairing? I feel this site's pairing punishes me for studying while I am on line.
