Despite various difficulties I am here still....
What is Your story relaled with first time on Lichess?

I simply reply, that mating is better than sex.
I started lichess when I was 10, I had horrible ratings, and I was obsessed with 0+1, now I am better, and I have lots more respect because of higher ratings :)

I discovered lichess via another website. It was originally a way for forum members to play "against a friend", though soon became my favorite place to play chess :)

(didn't want to open up just another thread for solely highlighting my little rap, there...)
I came to know this site via a friend who regularly invited me to play with him here at Lichess. I never could quite outmatch him, so that kept me motivated enough to try improving myself, which in turn led me into the rich, multifaceted world of international Chess. Since then I have had multiple accounts here and elsewhere, recently at
Chess.com. I tried to purchase a premium membership, paid the money and all ... nothing happened. I got ripped off, to be frank ... -_- and now I'm over here again! :)
^ (I felt it as rap, but called it poetry, because it's incongruous with what I know of as "rap").

My first ever contact at lichess was when a friend told me that i could play three check chess in here , since i've wanted to try that variant for so long. however, after getting bored of 3 checks, i left.
Only recently my interest in chess was re sparked and decided to come back to lichess.
