This idea is more or less for streamers, who have enough audience to play with. Streaming is fun, and fun tournaments with viewers are more fun.
Lichess right now has very restricted amount of options and very limited number of positions to play. But you could introduce more, like unbalanced "from position", negative increments, different times for black in white (according to position), etc.
For example: an ending game King + Queen (white) vs King + Rook (black). Black has 2x (3x?) time.
Or: knights with bishops, or negative increment -1 second per move.
Variants are restricted only by your flight of fancy.
