Remove Permanent Forum Banishment from Lichess

A friend said: Permanent ban is like a Life-sentence.

I like expressing my point of view, I try to seek the truth, and I believe that when I'm completely free to chat, and others aswell, I can become a better person by changing my mind.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_of_speech

"Freedom of speech is a principle that supports the freedom of an individual or a community to articulate their opinions and ideas without fear of retaliation, censorship, or legal sanction".

I feel the fear of censorship :/
Is your government censoring you? No? Then you have freedom of speech. Whether or not you are allowed to put forth your opionions on a platform like Lichess (or Twitter, or Facebook, etc.) has nothing to do with freedom speech. Noone is obligated to give you a platform.
Do I deserve a nice platform as a Easter Gift? I don't think so. Not in a lifetime...

What I wish is peace, like the Dove in front of the symbol of the Ukrainian flag.

I want my friends back.
I don't recommend anything. Don't wanna end up like tpr...
There can be multiple warnings with some temporary ban as well but permanent banishment is not correct.

So I guess you are fearing to lose your account.

Yet life sentences exist in real life. Why? Because whatever the person did, it was so extreme that they were sentenced to life OR they were repeatedly put in prison yet never learned to stop performing their malicious behavior.

Just like perma-bans from forums, whatever the user did, it was probably very extreme or the user was warned on multiple occasions to stop their behavior, but they didn't.
@celinofj your friends are in no way privileged because they're your friends. They can appeal, and if they are not allowed back, then there's probably a reason to it.

@Akbar2thegreat tpr was banned for notoriously recommending people to just evade bans through alts. You can understand sargon's comment as a meme in that regard ...
